Mum shot in gangland attack named locally as Jayne Hickey

 

The mum shot in the legs by a gunman who also shot her seven-year-old son has been named locally as Jayne Hickey.
29-year-old Jayne was shot in both legs in what police described as a tit-for-tat gangland shooting at their home on Gillingham Road, Winton, Eccles.
The men talked with the mum before opening fire at close range, hitting both her and her son.
Detectives investigating the shooting have now linked the shooting to the murder of Paul Massey, who was shot dead outside his home in July.
